Owner Operator – Getting Started

  1. Paperwork/Tests
    1. Application
    2. Ten Years of Work History
    3. Signed Release
    4. Vehicle Inspection
    5. Everyone must pass our road test
    6. Information on vehicle
    7. Copy of Title and 2290

     

  2. Orientation
    1. Orientation (including all paperwork and tests) will take approximately 1˝ days. Start any day Tuesday through Thursday.

     

  3. Start-Up Costs:
    1. $750 deposit on the QualComm system/Performance Bond.

     

  4. License & Permits: Approx. $2000 for full year. (Will take $100 weekly payment).
    1. Bobtail Liability Insurance:  $9.92/wk
    2. Workman’s Comp and Occupational Accident Insurance:  $37.38/wk
    3. TransFlo (scanning instead of TripPak):  $7.00/wk
    4. Fuel Tax: 2cpm.
    5. QualComm: $18.34/WK

     

  5. Provided by Wil-Trans
    1. Inspection of tractor
    2. DOT physical
    3. Drug & Alcohol Test
    4. QualComm installation
    5. Handling all insurance, base plates, decals, IFTA reporting & permits
